Once you decide to work with us, after getting to know the firm through our email newsletter or one of our free workshops, the next step is scheduling your Initial Meeting. (You will receive $200 of the Initial Meeting fee if you attend a workshop first.)

How to Schedule Your Initial Meeting

1. Call 217-726-9200 and schedule your meeting. (This will usually be 2-3 weeks after you contact us.) The Initial Meeting fee is $275 unless you attend an Intro to Edwards Group workshop.

2. Return your Personal Information Form — available on our website here.

What happens at the Initial Meeting?

At your meeting with the attorney, which usually lasts about 45 minutes, we will review your concerns and goals. The attorney will also help you understand the unique risks facing your family. Clients find this meeting to be very valuable in helping them understand their options.

By the end of the meeting, you should understand your planning options, what they will cost and whether Edwards Group is really the right firm for you.

Who will you meet with?

All potential clients meet with Edwards Group founder, David Edwards, during their Initial Meeting. Born and raised in Central Illinois, David has practiced law for nearly 20 years, and in that time he’s helped hundreds of families achieve peace of mind through planning. Most days he doesn’t wear a tie, but that doesn’t mean he’s casual when it comes to helping you protect your assets and family. It’s his passion. You can learn more about David here.
