As Thanksgiving approaches, Edwards Group is excited to continue our tradition of giving back to the community. This year, we’re partnering again with Senior Services of Central Illinois to provide Thanksgiving baskets for local seniors who could use a little extra support. What began as a small effort with just four baskets has grown: in 2025, we’ve committed to assembling 20 baskets for seniors in need.
How You Can Help
We’re collecting nonperishable food items to fill these baskets with traditional dishes and treats that make the holiday special. Suggested donations include:
- Canned meats, vegetables, soups, or fruits
- Instant potatoes, rice, beans, pasta
- Jelly, peanut butter, crackers
- Pasta sauce, stuffing, chicken broth
- Cereal, muffin mixes, Bisquick
- Tea, coffee, sugar, and creamer
- Pie crust mix, pie filling, cookies, snacks
- Cranberry sauce, bread, and rolls
Please drop off your donations at our Springfield office (3223 S. Meadowbrook Rd., Ste A) during business hours. We ask that all items be delivered by Friday, November 21 so we can assemble and deliver the baskets before Thanksgiving.
