Rick joined Edwards Group in 2025 after working at a large financial services firm, where he saw firsthand how difficult it can be for families to manage finances while they are grieving. That experience shaped how he approaches his work today. He views his role as an opportunity to learn, grow, and help people, and he appreciates the tried‑and‑true planning process we use at Edwards Group.
Rick was born in Decatur and raised in Mt. Zion, Illinois. He is an Illini and Cardinals fan, but he also cheers for the Yankees with his dad and enjoys Alabama football with other members of his family.
One of his favorite things about Edwards Group is the level of care that goes into helping families prepare for the loss or incapacitation of a loved one. He prefers to think proactively about the hurdles families may face, so he can help make it easier for them to navigate the estate process when the time comes.
When he’s not working, Rick is actively involved in his church and volunteers with various non‑profits. He also loves spending time with his family, watching football games, and spending time on any beach in the Caribbean.
